Saint-Luc, Pièces de Luth
" ... In the Chaconne ... and elsewhere, Mascardi remains on top of her brief. Ornamentation is twirly but never congested, with extended trills over moving bass lines executed with apparent ease. Most striking of all is the transparency she maintains throughout an agenda covering 26 titles in just over an hour. Tempos are firm yet never mechanical, textures delivered with every aspect fully focused. Credit must go to Manuel Mohino for a sound capture that retains the warmth of the church location while achieving an almost studio-like manage- ment of detail.
Whichever Saint-Luc was responsible for the content of this disc, he has found a worthy ambassador in Evangelina Mascardi." (Paul Fowles, Lute News 129, Lute Society London, April 2019)
